Semi-Hiatus that'll evolve into a real hiatus! [Sat 25 Apr @ 12:05pm] jonaswagner Sooo. It's the tail end of April, which means my semester is dying down. Next week is the actual last week of class, the week after is finals. This is my semi-hiatus right here. I'm going to be very sparse on AIM, but again I'll have my gmail open if you need to shoot me off an e-mail. I'm a compulsive e-mail checker, so I'll get back to you pretty quickly. Then this will turn into a real hiatus, because the Saturday the 9th of May after my last final on that Friday. Semi-hiatus [Wed 22 Apr @ 1:21am] seemevil This is not a real hiatus, it's just explaining why my permanent, calming presence on your contacts list is suddenly not so permanent. I'm out living somewhere with totally balls internet for a little while, and while I will complain loudly until this situation is rectified, it means I will be less inclined to internet in general because, well, it's totally balls. Which means I'll spend even less time with you (even thought I love you all dearly and wouldn't give you up for the world kisseshugscuddles), because posting just this took eighty million years and it hurts my heart. So, yeah, I'll still be around, but if I don't post for a million years, I'm not dead or have forgotten about you or anything. [Sat 18 Apr @ 11:40pm] darkshade Carlin here. Sorry it's taken me so long to intro this girl (been a rough few days), but I'm here now! Anyway, this is Mackenzie Edwards, daughter of Pete Wisdom. She works as an agent for MI6 (Britain's International Secret Service) and is currently assisting the INTERPOL agents. She's been on the Prophets of Delphi case since they first appeared a year ago so she's pretty knowledgeable in the events that have taken place. Now some facts: 1. Mackenzie has been able to avoid detection from most paparazzi despite her unique appearance because of a holographic device that she uses on missions that allow her to take on completely different persona. 2. She's a widow. She was married to fellow agent Michael Edwards (15 years her senior) that died from cancer a little over a year ago. 3. She's a heavy drinker and frequents bars often, but despises cigarettes/cigars/pipes/etc. If you smoke around her, chances are she'll start acting none to polite. 4. She's a pretty good actress and if she had the desire to could probably make a living out of it. 5. Mac's very good with languages and knows English, Arabic and French fluently. [Thu 9 Apr @ 12:47pm] manniquin Hello everyone! Its Nick (aka Toby Shaw & Sean Moddox-Rourke) here introducing my new character! This is INTERPOL agent Jacques Aaronson. He's a hunky jokester that rarely should be taken seriously. He's been in the media a lot across the pond in London mostly because of his younger brother who's the rebel of the UK media and has even spread rumors about Jacques concerning drugs, theft, incest and many other things, but luckily Jacques has risen up pretty high to one of the highest levels of INTERPOL's inteligence branch. His mutation is rather unique, as he can bring to life inanimate objects which normally would posses life, such as mannequins, statues, and sculptures by giving them a portion of his life force, and he also posses a somewhat strong telepathic block, meaning that all you mind readers and psychics can't touch or damage Jacques brain, thanks to his dad's passed down mental shield. So anywhere, here are his five facts! 1) Has been discharged from various INTERPOL cases for not treating them with enough respect, basically joking around too much on the job and things like that. He's a big kidder and a total sweetheart and not who one would think as an INTERPOL agent. 2) Has been in the UK tabloids for a while now because his younger brother is a trouble maker and has gone out of his way to accuse Jacques of theft, incest with him, and drug use, which Jacques denies, but takes in stride and still cares for him. 3) Has a thing for animals. Jacques will instantly fall in love with anything with fur, feathers or scales. He has a dog and a cat and once owned a bird before it sadly died. His cat is named Marshall and his dog is Kelvin. 4) Secretly feels guilty for his fathers crimes in the past and constantly feels like he needs to make things right, even with his odd sense of humor. He is a goody-two-shoes and hardly does anything to upset anyone, or so he tries anyway. 5) NO he has not ever brought a mannequin or anything fake to have sex with, he prefers the real thing to plastic store mannequins. He also can usually get who he wants into bed, he is VERY flirtatious with anything with two legs and moderately good looks and higher. Yo! [Thu 16 Apr @ 10:24am] supersnooper Hi, this is Chris's mun with character #2, Yohann Rosshire. Was told he's accepted, so posting this even though he's not added to the friend button just yet. He goes by 'Yo' or 'Rosh', not too many people use the full name. He's a college kiddo, his parentage is something of a secret to others, he only recently found out about it. He's working parttime as a sound technician for 'Studio M' a recording studio for mutant artists and bands. And here's his Fab Five... ONE! Yo's been building an arsenal over the past year. He's been using the crapload of money his father sent him to buy them. He's been making all of his purchases under the table. So far, he has a few different hunting knives, a crossbow, a pistol, and a rifle. He's been building proficiency with these weapons, spending at least a few hours every weekend practicing. TWO! Fanboy. Bigtime. Getting the 'Studio M' gig is a dreamjob for Yo. He's only just started about a month ago and has already met several famous bands or artists. He loves talking on and on about who he's met and what he's seen. THREE! Likes to talk. Really. And isn't the best at being discreet, with his own thoughts and/or intentions or with what he's told by or about other people. FOUR! Yo's a friendly kinda guy. He's the type of person who will put an arm around your shoulder while talking to you or something of the kind. He's tactile like that, just likes to be touching. He doesn't mean any harm by it. Most people are okay with it, though sometimes he unintentionally gives off the wrong message by it. FIVE! Is a likeable guy, guys and girls alike seem to warm up to him easily. Yo's had a couple of g.f's over the years, a few more hookup girls. Has had no interest in guys in the past, though his views on sexuality have been rocked since finding out that his dad's a woman. He's got a lot of questions now he's never had before. And, lastly, a quick call for plot. He's a college kid, so could have preexisting friendships/acquaintanceships/hookups with college-going characters. Working at Studio M, would be great for him to have or get plot with characters involved in music somehow, whether bands or singers or producers or whatever. ring the alarm! [Mon 13 Apr @ 4:19pm] nextx okay, I'm back! so, it was suggested to me that we make x magazine a community, that way everyone could post. (i'm still unsure of how this will go down), but i'm assuming everyone can post via their own journals, and just list the real writer at the top along with the article? like... cheyenne posting onto the community "look at this!" with the title of the article, as long as the writer at X. This make sense? If not, and/or you have a better idea, simply hit either Luis or I up, as he can relay any messages you so have for me. :) THAT BEING SAID. JOIN xmagazine! Oh. Hello. [Sun 5 Apr @ 5:12pm] seemevil So. I sort of fell off the earth for a week, completely unintentionally. Hence the...falling..part. I don't intentionally fall very often. Anyway. I'm back now, so we can work through the trauma of my departure together. One day, we will recover. I'm going to slowly try to catch up, and that includes on my actual life-life, too, so I'll be kind of sparse but also kind of eager. So...hopefully someone will catch me at the right time and we'll create exquisite things with our minds. While this is going on, I request two things of each and every one of you. At your leisure: 1. For purely my own curiosity... I know we each chose lyrcis for our characters, but is the song you chose really your character's sort of life soundtrack, or do you have something that you find fits better, if not necessarily lyrically? Or, perhaps, since you started playing, you've found your lyrics aren't quite as perfect as you thought they were. Or maybe you just have a whole playlist to help you out while you write this particular dude or dudette. Whatever it is, do share. 2. Plot with me. Plotwithmeplotwithmeplotwithmedoitdoitdoit. [Wed 1 Apr @ 7:41pm] palatine This is my thwarted attempt at resisting every ounce of my will. Anyway, it's Luis! And I am bringing in Archer Braddock, son of Brian Braddock (also known as Captain Britain) and Meggan. He was born and raised in London, England, once his parents settled down from their adventures with MI:13. He's really friendly and outgoing, but he's also very much a leader type. He's brave, opinionated, honest and has a flavor for strategy. His full bio is HERE. Five facts about Archie Archer: ○ He was actually born with blond hair. His powers came at the onset of puberty, so his mutant ability was going haywire. During this time, he awoke one day and found himself with a head of brown hair. He hasn't been able to change it since then. It could be said that he had extremely latent shapeshifting abilities thanks to his mother. ○ When he mastered self-propelled flight, he would often fly across the Atlantic Ocean to New York City and anywhere else in the world. Saved on travel costs. ○ His powers can't actually create the elements he calls upon. He needs objects to use as conduits. He can affect the powers of elemental mutants by boosting the sheer power of their abilities. ○ Archer is the bearer of Excalibur! Even though it looks pretty strange when you see him hauling a sword on his back. ○ You can tell immediately when Archer's powers are activated. His eyes and body glow with a brilliant gold aura. Inviting friends to join something is one thing, but people who join something together, and come with relationships already paired, and have their histories interestingly woven into one another, simply won't be tolerated anymore. As far as the plot, Luis and I have been diligantly working on solid directions to move things in. Because of this, we may be introducing four possible children from pairings, a bit early. These four will be joining us from the United Kingdom, as events which are about to unfold, will bring them here. So, if you might be interested in snatching one, we DO have some plot planned for him/her. :) So, the plot will be posted like, now! (I know! I lied! But i've had one HELL of a weekend (aunt in hospital, car's window got shattered, etc, etc.) Interested in seeing who passed the cut, and who will be added? And from the mouth of Odin, a third son came [Fri 27 Mar @ 8:29am] lxnay That's a pretty epic title, isn't it? Unfortunately, it isn't at all truthful. Or maybe fortunately, since we don't need any more God complexes in the game (Levi's is enough for Kyle ;)). Anyway. This is Felix Astrovik - and I'm done stealing the fun European last names, promise. He's the offspring of Vance-the-ex-con and Angelica-the-infertile. Vance got a little creative with his TK one night...several times, and there was Felix! He absorbs light and can either bend it around his body to become invisible or use it to create colorful light shows. Light shows he utilizes while being a DJ at underground raves. He's a club kid who is loud and opinionated. Aside from his super secret hobby, Felix has the drive home radio show on WKDI 106.8 The Glit(ter), an electronica/dance/trance radio station. People would definitely recognize his voice if nothing else. Oh, and he's a teeny, tiny bit addicted to Glimmer, the topical sexual stimulant. Hey, someone slipped it on him at a rave once and it affected his light show and got him...aroused. What's not to like?! Friends, enemies, frienemies (hate that phrase) anyone? All his info can be found here. FIVE FACTS ♪ Hasn't completely unpacked his apartment, even after two years of living there. He's much too busy to worry about boxes that are half-empty. If he needs something, he'll go rooting around for it. ♪ Felix can't use his powers concurrently. Either the boy's invisible or he's making light shows. Besides, he figures what's the point of making awesome displays if no one can see him do it, right? ♪ Almost became a daddy when an ex-girlfriend's monthly visitor was late. It had been a rather sloppy ordeal to begin with, and she had said she was allergic to latex...don't get him started. But he's not a daddy of anything. Hooray! ♪ Only got his DJ job because he was stuck in an elevator with the VP of Programming for a couple hours. While they didn't do anything, Felix is slightly claustrophobic and ended up being a chatty person about anything and everything. She happened to like it and it was goodbye mail room for him! ♪ Felix is known as DJ Ixnay on the rave/bar circuit. Please allow myself to introduce...myself. [Thu 26 Mar @ 11:12pm] telepathology Hello there! I'm Meesha and I'm very excited to get to be a part of this game. I've been eyeing it for a while and I'm delighted to have finally applied. I will be playing Urien Quire - I really couldn't resist, because what's greater than the addled offspring of dispassionate, cloned telepaths and someone so powerful they transcend their physical form? Nothing! Clearly! I was told to list, not just five facts, but five fun facts. That's a pretty tall order considering the source. You'll have to forgive me if I include some not-so-fun tidbits too. 1.) This is probably the most fun, but his telepathy is perceived as blue due to synethesia. 2.) His interests include reading science fiction because he likes the spaceships. 3.) He's a telepathic, paranoid schizophrenic with OCD. Urien is seen as incompetent in the eyes of the law as a person who is not able to manage his affairs due to mental deficiency (deterioration and psychosis). His mother Celeste Cuckoo has been appointed guardian and conservator of his estate. He's essentially an idiot savant and probably won't shake your hand. 4.) Grew up with Levi and Leila and while they were learning to tie their shoes, Uri was disassembling lawn mowers to see how they worked. 5.) For the first time in twenty-six years he has left the Hive to attend school at the behest of his therapists, social workers, empathy experts and pretty much, well, everyone. This is Yvette Dousiers and she is from New Orleans, but moved to New York while she was still little. She's got issues, but who doesn't. Anyways on to the facts. She sees dead people! (not like Joelle) LOL, well, technically they're like spirits/gods type dealies. She talks to them all the time, but not when people are around to see, though if you sneak up on her, can probably catch her doing it. She has a very slight accent, but she slips into it heavily when she gets emotional over something or other. She doesn't like talking about herself, her family, or her past. My name is Raven, I'm happy to be here :D & I bring you Zuri Udaku, the lovechild of Ororo Munroe [Storm] & T'Challa Udaku [Black Panther.] In the technological world we call this game, Zuri is (of course) a retro child who doesn't like too many articles of clothing, makeup, hair products, or shoes. Now for some interesting factoids. Zuri's abilities are magical and limited by what she knows (she's been mimicking her mother this entire time.) Should she eat the heart shaped herb her father eats, her magical world would explode and she'd have a better understanding for the root of who she really is. She owns a floral shop/green house by the name of A New Leaf, that she created in the apartment building she owns in New York, New York. There are six floors she's willing to rent out, but only to mutants. She also owns two animals. Zay, a one year old black/white Border-Chow mix that is missing her right back leg. Igor, a 12 week old Great Dane puppy who looks rather emo due to his gray, dark gray, and white coat. She's only been in America for three years, speaks five languages all in her native accent (which makes French sound funny.) She's mostly 'followed' by X-Men fans, and lives under the media radar. She's had two big stories: When she came to America (Princess Zuri Udaku of Wakanda....) and when she turned 21 and decided to go to a club. When no humiliating pictures could be taken, she stopped being followed as much. [Tue 24 Mar @ 12:36pm] shiverx Greetings, friends! After sifting through the list, there are plenty of people in this game that I've met along the way, so hello again! (::waves to jan::). My name is Joey, and I'm bringing you the almost forgotten love-child of Bobby Drake and Opal Tanaka. Had to crack out my old ICON series because Opal Tanaka sounded way too familiar in my head, and sure enough, Iceman's little 4 comic series was there featuring her and an alleged son. So! If you haven't read that little ditty, its summed up in Weston's journal. We is currently played by the adorably goofy looking Shia LaBeouf, a last name of which is awfully difficult for me to spell for whatever reason. Key points to know is that he is blind, currently lives in one of Zuri's apartments, and works downstairs as a florist in the shop (Opal was noted to originally be a florist back in the day). Personality-wise, the kid's confused. Humor is a good defense mechanism but often gets him in trouble. He can be headstrong when he wants to be, but usually, he's pretty reserved. Alpha males are people he does not mix well with. Hmm... he plays a mean violin, and his identity as Bobby Drake's son is unknown to the public, though could be speculated from abilities. Anything else you need to know is in his bio. Weston is open for any sort of plotting, though note he's only been living in NYC for the past 2-3 years. She does love her friends dearly she's just not able to get to close to them emotionally. She's in her diamond form a lot when cutting fabrics to sew since her diamond form never ever dulls. [Mon 23 Mar @ 5:11pm] ex_ticker910 Save the best for last, dorks! xD I'm Val and this here's the lovely Liberty Atkins, who's loads more interesting than I am and is a happy-go-lucky kinda gal. Chances are, you've stumbled across her, heard rumors about her, or even knew her mommy A.K.A. the fabbity fab Jubilation Lee, back in the glory days. Unfortunately, Jubes hasn't quite been herself recently, considering her husband passed away in that tragic plane crash thats been, like, EVERYWHERE lately. Newspapers, TV stations, etc. For the most part, Libby tries to avoid it all. She doesn't really need that shit all up in her face. She's reminded enough, thank you. At the moment, she's trying to hook up with a roomie so she can get out of her stuffy house. Catering to your mother's every whim because of the "incident" takes its toll, ya know. Ah yes, CINCO DE FACT-OS! (or something along those lines?) • She possesses a massive sweet tooth, but has yet to recieve a dreaded cavity or GINGAVITIS! • When she was six, Libby accidently tumbled into a rushing river: nearly drowning in the process. Needless to say, she's been frightened of water ever since. Baths she can handle, although they do seem a bit menacing. • She’s susceptible to random, uncoordinated dancing in her room and jumping on the backs of her stronger, taller friends as if it were some kind of sport. [Sun 22 Mar @ 1:05am] spiritseer Greetings. I'm Carlin and I'm bringing to the game Joelle Burkheart. She's a virtual unknown with no relations to any hero or villain and doesn't even have mutant parents. Her mutant power is Mediumship which allows her to sense and communicate with spirits. She works two jobs - one as a bookstore clerk, another as a waitress - in NYC and shares an apartment with one other girl (potential for a PC to be that particular girl if anyone is interested). Five interesting facts about her: • Joelle loves art and dreams of becoming a professional artist someday. She's really good at portraiture and often uses spirits as her models. • She touches everything. • She had a brief moment of fame when she communicated with a spirit while she lived in Rochester. The publicity was very localized and brief so very few would probably remember her. • Had a brief relationship with a spirit when she was 16, but she moved away before anything could really develop. • She's a big fan of classical music.
